Marquis Grissom

Marquis Grissom collected 2,251 hits and 429 stolen bases while earning two All-Star berths, four Gold Gloves and a World Series ring over 17 big-league seasons. He led the majors with 76 and 78 stolen bases as a Montreal Expos outfielder in 1991-92. After retirement, he coached first base for the Washington Nationals and spent time as a youth baseball coach in the Dream Series. In 2006 he founded the Marquis Grissom Baseball Association, a non-profit organization that helps give athletes in underserved communities an opportunity to play baseball competitively.
