During his 10 year career, Jason played outfield for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Houston Astros. He was drafted twice before turning professional in 1998, when he was drafted at third time out of the University of Miami. Jason made his Major League debut in 2001. He retired with 613 hits, 59 home runs, and a .263 batting average. In 2010, Jason was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame. Jason runs a well-respected baseball clinic in Tampa Florida called The Big League Approach, where he works with other MLB players to teach and train athletes of all ages.
