As Director of Operations of the MLBPA, Chris’s role includes management of critical organizational functions in areas of Finance, IT, Communications and HR. He also participates in the board governance and other day-to-day activities of MLB Players, Inc. and the MLBPA’s Players Trust, respectively the business and charitable nonprofit arms of the MLBPA. The Duke alum was a member of the 2001 U.S. National baseball team and played for over 12 years in the majors as a left-handed pitcher with the Diamondbacks, Brewers, Mets, Dodgers, Red Sox and Yankees. Among his career highlights, he won 18 games in 2005 and earned a spot as a National League All-Star in 2006. After finishing up his playing career in 2016, Chris supplemented his undergraduate Economics degree from Duke by completing his Masters in Business Administration at MIT’s Sloan School of Management before joining the MLBPA full-time in 2019.
